I have over 10 years experience as a Corporate Trainer within the financial and healthcare fields. The majority of my time as a Corporate Trainer was spent developing interactive online courses and getting training teams switched over to rapid digital development. These last 3 years I spent bridging the gap of online interactive training and online marketing. With COVID hitting in 2020, businesses are starting to realize the importance of utilizing remote communications in getting a message delivered.
I've been winning art awards since high school and that was the first time I was published for a Missouri recycling promotion calendar. My photo was the first Photoshop art they promoted in the calendar because of the message that was conveyed. Since then I knew I had a knack for using digital development to convey ideas.
I remain up-to-date in using the latest Microsoft and Adobe products. My experience includes:
Visual content is a quick way to grab a viewer's attention and communicate a message. Often it can be utilized to highlight the most important information of that message.
From designing an entire brand identity to developing an info-graph for sales to creating a character, I've been there and done that and enjoy the process.
There's a young generation that grew up watching people on YouTube and watching gamers stream on Twitch. These children might have had ambition to do the same. Now they are entering workforce as adults.
For 10+ years I've been telling business leaders that video is the future and what's needed to grab the attention of the next generation.
Software screen capture, voice over, filming events, interviews and never forgetting B-roll is in my realm of experience.
I enjoy capturing those moments in time that some cherish and some forget. If it's weddings, concerts or corporate events, I've done them.
I've used Canon and Sony professional cameras and a Samsung phone when I'm in a pinch. I have utilized Photoshop and Lightroom to do photo touchups.
People have flashy ideas to market their business or think training will correct a problem. This isn't always needed.
Analyzing the situation can save time and create a greater overall impact in the final product. For design, maybe a quick video can grab the viewer and answer their questions quicker than typed words. Maybe training won't correct errors.
Since COVID hit, online training was a thing that was needed YESTERDAY!
This is always an item that I bring up to those experience in business continuity. It's needed during pandemics and it's always nice to have backup training available for one-offs or old material that can be update versus In-Class Training.
I like to utilize multimedia in most of the content that I create to keep learners involved in the training. This includes gamification, video, audio, animated graphics and static images.
What's funny is that I was a shy child growing up and for a lot of adults public speaking is their worst nightmare. I would have never thought of me succeeding in the industry I fell into.
I've facilitated multiple courses that take a few hours to an entire week that include: New Employee Orientation, Software and Process Training, Subject Training, Call Center Training and Sales Training.
